EJV Talks With Liberty Bog Down; Business Plan Portrays Leaner EJV

Talks between the EJV Partners L.P. and Liberty Brokerage Inc. to bring Liberty on board as a seventh EJV partner appear to have bogged down -- despite a recent wire service report citing rumors that an agreement had been reached.
Word of the negotiations between the EJV and Liberty first emerged early in March (IMD, March 15). At that time, EJV president Bruce Peterson said that he expected a deal, of some kind, to be concluded quickly -- within one or two months. But as of this writing, with
