Data Users Form IPUG Group In The Netherlands

Some 25 Dutch companies that use market data have formed an Information Providers Users Group (IPUG) in the Netherlands. With the creation of that entity--which is modeled after a similar, London-based group called UK IPUG--Dutch IT executives for the first time have a common forum where they can gripe about the cost of information and the cocky "take-it-or-leave-it" attitude that vendors have been known to adopt from time to time. Dutch users hope that through IPUG, they will have more leverage
