HSBC Markets NYC Taps Knight-Ridder As Primary Provider

In yet another move intended to decrease its reliance on Dow Jones Telerate data, Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corp. has selected Knight-Ridder Financial as its primary information provider for its New York trading operation -- known as HSBC Markets. HSBC, which delivered a blow to Telerate earlier this year when it chose Knight-Ridder and Reuters as its top two market data vendors for its Hong Kong office (Dealing & Investment Systems, Aug. 14), is currently relying on its Teknekron Software
