CBOT Unveils Policies For '97: Will Charge For Delayed Data

The Chicago Board of Trade plans to implement a slew of market data policies as of Jan. 1 of next year, including a charge to subscribers for its continuously delivered delayed data. That would make it the first US exchange to charge end users for that type of data. The CBOT also expects to enact a data feed policy that would give users a financial incentive to establish a controlled data feed environment--where they could provide software-generated reports verifying data usage.
