SEC Seeking Comment On Exchange Data Fees; Proposes Big Changes

WASHINGTON--The market data community in the US, and the world, are closely watching the reaction to a Concept Release paper on the regulation of market information fees and revenues issued recently by the US Securities Exchange Commission (SEC). Responses are due by the end of March.

Although the SEC is only seeking comment at this time, some of the suggestions could lead to a radical restructuring of how national securities exchanges or systems (referred to by the SEC paper) as self-regulatory
