Thomson Adds ICB Standard

Thomson Financial has decided to adopt the Industry Classification Benchmark standard for classifying companies, industrial sectors and individual securities across its data products, officials said last week. The goal is to make it easier for end users to search the data.
ICB was jointly launched by index providers FTSE and Dow Jones Indexes in December (IMD, Jan. 24).
The multi-year deal was signed last month, and ICB will be incorporated into the first Thomson products some time in the second
