More Details Emerge On Reuters' Columbia Feed Architecture

More news has emerged about the new real-time data feed architecture, code named Columbia, that is being developed by Reuters (IMD, June 3). While an earlier project aimed at creating feeds with a Reuter Information Code (RIC) capacity of 60,000, the new feeds will have a RIC capacity of up to 500,000 RICs. Selectfeed Plus handles 9,600 RICs.
According to Mark Bishop, marketing manager responsible for IMS in Asia, Columbia is an infrastructure project that will yield a series of scalable data
