Dow Jones To Pull News Services From Bloomberg Network Next Summer

Dow Jones & Co. has informed Bloomberg L.P. that effective August 1991 Dow Jones' news services will be yanked from Bloomberg terminals. Dow Jones officials notified news service customers in a letter dated Aug. 10 that cited Bloomberg news as a competitive threat.
Currently, customers of Bloomberg can receive Dow Jones News Service, News/Retrieval, Capital Markets Report and Professional Investor Report. All the services will be cut next year, according to a Dow Jones spokesman.
