FIX Committee Finalizes Version 4.1, Revision Process Relied On Internet, E-Mail

LONDON--The final revision to version 4.1 of the Financial Information Exchange, or FIX, protocol is scheduled to be published this week, and according to one senior member of the FIX committee, the ease of the deliberations that produced the version can be traced to FIX participants' increased reliance upon electronic mail and the protocol committee's Web site.
