Orc: Shakeout Coming for DMA ISVs

LONDON—Nils Nilson, CEO of Orc Software, is predicting that the direct market access (DMA) independent software vendors (ISVs) serving the futures and options markets are headed for a consolidation in their niche.

Nilson made his remarks during an Orc-hosted roundtable discussion at International Derivatives Week in London. The panel, which also included Douglas Garistina, one of the founders of Sequoia Capital; Robin Cave, managing director of equity markets at Merrill Lynch; and Mike Cartier
