CFTC Delays Project A; As Globex/Simex Gets Ok

PROPRIETARY EXECUTION

The Chicago Board of Trade has delayed plans to upgrade its Project A automated trading system pending regulatory approval of its supporting technology by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Following its acrimonious split from Globex earlier this year (TST, April 18), the exchange had determined that it would use Project A to facilitate after-hours trading of financial futures and options.

Meanwhile, competitor Globex got a bit of a boost, as regulatory authorities in Singapore granted
