Toronto Exchange Ends Torex Efforts Leaving Development To Reuters, Others

TORONTO--The Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE) has effectively terminated its business of providing Torex Tradestations, or any other workstation software solution, deciding instead to focus on its "core strengths" of providing equities trading transaction services.

TSE officials say that the exchange will serve its members better by seeing to their needs, such as maintaining liquidity, and allowing third-party vendors to find the best ways to write their own interfaces and build their own gateways to
