The London Stock Exchange Trading System, or SETS, is to go live on Monday, October 20, 10 years and a day after Black Monday sent financial markets crashing around the world. The ignoble anniversary may be no more than an unwelcome coincidence for the backers of the new system, which promises to facilitate straight-through processing for buy side managers.
