CME To Supply Globex Members With Gards Risk Analysis Package

Diving headfirst into the murky depths of software distribution, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange will make rudimentary risk analysis software available to Globex clearing members when the futures and options electronic trading system goes live in the first half of 1990. The Globex Account Risk Detection System (GARDS), which requires a dedicated PC, provides visual and audible alarms when a predetermined risk threshold is exceeded by a portfolio of holdings.
