UBS N.Y. Evaluates Reuters; Pilots Triarch On Bond Desk

Union Bank of Switzerland is piloting Reuters' Triarch 2000 digital data distribution system at its New York office. The bank is evaluating Triarch 2000 as part of a search for a trading room platform that may eventually support its full trading community -- including a total of at least 500 traders at the bank and its UBS Securities Inc. affiliate. Should UBS decide to go with Triarch 2000 in New York, Reuters' system would initially be rolled out to the bank's fixed-income and treasury traders
