Shearson's OTC Desk Project Hits Snags With NASDAQ Interface

Almost 10 months after the installation of a pilot system, Shearson Lehman Brothers Inc.'s project to deploy UNIX-based OTC trader workstations has yet to progress beyond the development stage. Shearson says problems with software designed to handle the National Association of Securities Dealers' NASDAQ digital interface are holding up the project.
Shearson's OTC workstation project was announced late last year (TST, Dec. 18, 1989). The project was aimed at replacing OTC traders' mix of NASDAQ
