DJM Officially Debuts Active1 As Prospectus Circulates To Potential Buyers

DESKTOP APPLICATIONS

NEW YORK--Dow Jones Markets (DJM) officially unveiled Active1 last week, its new front-end based upon Microsoft's ActiveX controls and Visual Basic Applications Edition scripting language.

Active1 will help users of the Dow Jones Platform digital data distribution platform to quickly integrate data on their desktops. An early version of it was included in Microsoft's product pavilion last November at the Comdex trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada (TTW, November 17, 1997).
