Reuters Builds Next Generation Feeds: Top Feed To Handle Up To 500,000 RICs

Reuters is working on a new real-time data feed architecture code-named Columbia, which will form the basis of a new family of digital data feeds, replacing Selectfeed Plus and Reuters' other current-generation feeds. The most spectacular improvement of the new feeds will be a Reuter Information Code (RIC) capacity of up to 500,000 RICs, as opposed to the 9,600 RICs handled by Selectfeed Plus.
