Thomson Gets TGA Nod from Merrill Lynch

NEW YORK--Merrill Lynch has entered into final negotiations with Thomson Financial for an outsourcing contract that will make Thomson the overseer for the next generation of the firm’s Trusted Global Advisor (TGA) retail brokerage workstation platform, brokerage officials announced last week.

Thomson, which beat out Reuters, is negotiating for a portion of the estimated $1 to $1.5 billion five-year contract, say industry sources.
