Nordea Consolidates IT, Cuts Jobs
ORGANIZATION AND STRATEGY
STOCKHOLM--Nordic financial services group Nordea is to consolidate its IT operations to centralize staff and standardize platforms in a bid to save E70 million per year, while making 250 staff redundant, it announced late last week.
Nordea aims to merge the IT operations throughout Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark onto a common IT infrastructure to simplify and speed up internal processes across borders and business areas and to benefit from economies of scale. The plan will cover
