had the immense privilege of seeing ABN Amro's new trading floor in its brand-new building, pre-occupation, in Amsterdam recently. The building consists of two clusters of angled towers separated by a courtyard--the trading floor is underneath the courtyard. Insider was reminded of a nursery rhyme upon first glance--"there was a crooked man, who had a crooked house"--but the effect is remarkable. The building cost 700 million guilders, around $338 million, and will house 3,000 peopleOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
