British Sterling Strength Hurts Reuters Again

The strong British pound sterling is causing revenue accounting problems for Reuters Holdings in the United Kingdom (UK). Currency exchange rates are masking a major boost in the sales of the Series 3000 product lines during the first half of this year.

Reuters says in its mid-year financial report that total information products revenues, which grew seven per cent at comparable currency exchange rates, are the result of improved market share. The Series 3000 products are selling well and
