Ixnet Teams Up With Cisco Systems For Switches, Routers, Optical Gear

NEW YORK--Ixnet has settled on Cisco Systems as its primary supplier of routers, switches and optical networking equipment and for the development and rollout of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and high bandwidth services.
Ixnet will begin moving some low bandwidth DS-0 and DS-1 services off Newbridge Network 36170 Mainstreet switches and eventually will replace the switches entirely with Cisco switches that can support frame relay or asynchronous transfer mode services.
