Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. has developed a sales-support, deal-capture and position-keeping system for its nationwide municipal bond trading operations. The system -- dubbed Municipal Trading System (MTS) -- automatically updates Dean Witter's positions in municipal securities as deals are struck by traders and orders are executed by the firm's registered representatives.
The system ensures that the firm's traders and registered reps across the country have access to the same position and
