Thomson Bids $600M for TradeWeb

NEW YORK--Thomson Financial is in exclusive talks to acquire bond trading network and data provider TradeWeb for about $600 million, according to sources familiar with the situation.
The offer may include a $100 million earn-out arrangement, by which TradeWeb’s bank-consortium owners would only be paid the additional money if the network hits certain earnings targets, these sources say. The negotiation period is thought to last another few weeks.
