Smith Barney Takes First Step To Roll Reuters' Triarch 2000

Smith Barney Inc. has gone live with Reuters' Triarch 2000 digital data distribution system on three of the five trading floors it is building at its 390 Greenwich St. trading room headquarters. According to a Smith Barney source, Triarch 2000 -- which is scheduled to support some 1,400 traders upon its installation on all five floors -- has been rolled out in support of the broker's commodities, municipals and public finance, and equity trading floors.
