SIA Pushes Pilot Tests for VoIP

NEW YORK—The Securities Industry Association (SIA) is facilitating a pilot program between member firms and network services providers that will test the capabilities of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communication for trading firms, officials at the SIA tell DWT.
According to Art Trager, vice president and managing director of technology at the SIA, there are about eight to 10 member firms that are taking part in the pilot program. They were drawn from the members of the SIA IP Working
