OSC Says Instinet Threatens TSE's Central Auction Market

A May 24 ruling by the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) brought Instinet Corp.'s long-running campaign to set up operations in Toronto to an unsuccessful conclusion. The ruling says that an unfettered Instinet might further fragment order flow to the Toronto Stock Exchange's (TSE) central auction market and adversely affect Ontario's capital market.
