Cusip to Expand Coverage to Hedge Funds
Cusip Global Services (CGS), managed by Standard & Poor's, has teamed up with hedge fund information provider HedgeFund.net, owned by Channel Capital Group, to create a global Cusip identification system for hedge funds and funds of hedge funds. By leveraging HedgeFund.net's information on funds, CGS will generate a 9-character Cusip and 12-character ISIN for unique hedge funds and fund of hedge funds and their underlying classes within the jurisdiction
