OptionsXpress Bows Activ Hardware Ticker
OptionsXpress began deploying the MPU appliance two months ago, initially replacing a stack of servers used for normalizing and databasing content from the vendor's ActivFeed consolidated datafeed and to compute the national best bid and offer for North American equity and options markets, and is now rolling out a separate MPU appliance to replace more servers that distribute the data to downstream client applications, says Ben Stein, executive vice president of technology at the firm.
