UK-based data vendor Markit is consolidating and distributing volume data for cash equity trades executed on the automated crossing systems of Citi, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan Cazenove, Morgan Stanley and UBS, to provide greater transparency into OTC equities trading. The vendor will collect the data at the end of each day, perform validation checks and publish aggregated trading volumes on its Web site the next day, broken down by country.
