Markit Eyes Multi-Asset ETF Trade Data

UK-based data vendor Markit is planning a major expansion of its feeds of exchange-traded funds trade data and index content, to cover ETFs based on underlyings other than just cash equities, officials say.

The vendor expects to roll out support for multi-asset class ETFs - including those with bonds, commodities, futures and swaps as their underlying components - onto its ETF Trade Data service in the first quarter of next year, to broaden the appeal of the ETF Services data beyond its current
