Nasdaq Corrects AutoQuote Data Error
A systems malfunction at Nasdaq on April 25 resulted in stale data in the exchange’s Market Maker Automated Quotation System, causing it to post erroneous automated quotes for some securities—and for trades to execute at these erroneous prices—between 9:28am and just after 10am, when Nasdaq fixed the issue. The exchange says it has taken steps to avoid reoccurrences.
