CTA, UTP Revisit Consolidated Tape Fees

Though consolidated tape operators have lowered some proposed fees, costs are expected to rise overall

The new fees for Tapes A and B were initially proposed last year, and scheduled to take effect in April 2013, but were delayed after industry associations including the Security Traders Association of New York (STANY) wrote to the Securities and Exchange Commission strongly opposing the changes. Meanwhile, the UTP Plan was forced to postpone its fee hike for Tape C after the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) accused the UTP Plan of not following the correct
