EFIS 2016: JPMC CDO Architects ‘Data Quality Pyramid'

JP Morgan Chase employs “data quality pyramid” to better monetize and reduce costs around its own data.

While data quality is key to all enterprises, most do not have a robust way to measure quality, and if firms are struggling with the explosion of data today, "it's only going to get worse," Cairns said. Coupled with the increase in regulation around data management practices and clients now demanding instant electronic data access, this means firms need a data model in place to identify problems as they occur, rather than "just putting sticking plasters over problems" as they arise.
