AI strategies could be pulling money into the data office

Benchmarking: As firms formalize AI strategies, some data offices are gaining attention and budget.

Just over half of firms have a formal AI strategy, and of those, two-thirds implemented the strategy in the last year. And where a strategy has been inked, automating data management is likely to be a part of it.

The findings come from WatersTechnology’s first benchmarking study, in which 16 data management leaders offered insights into their firm’s AI strategies, staffing pressures, budget concerns, and tasks for which they’re responsible. Of the firms, 58% have a formalized, written strategy
