Pennsylvania entity files antitrust suit against Cusip Global Services

Complaint challenges CGS’s position as the US national numbering agency.

Cusip Global Services has been targeted by another lawsuit alleging it has abused its position as the provider of US securities identifiers.

The new complaint, filed in the US District Court for Pennsylvania’s Middle District on February 27, accuses CGS and owner FactSet of shutting the plaintiff out of the US capital markets.

The plaintiff is Global Infrastructure Finance & Development Authority, a Pennsylvania-based entity that is seeking to raise funding for a string of heavy infrastructure
