Cloud computing is a generic and much-hyped term, but at its simplest, it is internet-based computing, with resources, software, and information provided to computers and other devices on demand. Its range of models include software-as-a-service (SaaS), a software distribution model in which hosted software applications are made available to customers over the internet; platform-as-a-service (PaaS), which is a means of renting hardware, operating systems, storage and network capacity; and
