Study: Broker-Dealers Should Embrace XML


Broker/dealers in Asia-Pacific are churning out cookie-cutter-type research because they do not know their buy-side clients' requirements, according to a report released last week by research company Financial Insights.

As a result, clients are inundated with research reports that are often irrelevant or not specific enough for their funds, the report says. This also makes it difficult for any particular broker-dealer's research to stand out.
