However, to achieve further increases in capacity while also reducing latency, the exchange is having to pursue new ways of streamlining its architecture and processes, rather than simply deploying new technology.
"As we're using the latest technology, we cannot expect increases in performance over 100 percent just by just using hardware," says Eurex executive board member Thomas Lenz.
