Savvis to Host Direct Exchange Connectivity

As well as reducing latency to the bare minimum required of a cross-connect within the same facility, the service will also reduce the costs of bandwidth normally required by firms to connect from their own data centers to exchanges, says Varghese Thomas, vice president of Savvis' financial markets vertical.

Savvis currently hosts five markets in the Weehawken center, and from there can provide access to all other US exchanges. The vendor is currently in the process of adding direct connectivity
