MST Cuts Latency With Linux Port

Boston-based ticker plant vendor Market Systems Technology claims to have dramatically reduced the latency of its products by porting them to a low latency version of the Linux operating system from Duluth, Ga.-based technology provider Concurrent.

"The typical latency in MDN [MST's messaging middleware] is half a millisecond. And with this… we can achieve a fraction of that-in the hundreds of microseconds," says MST president Jack Swan.
