Moneyline Rejects Offers

Moneyline Telerate has rejected acquisition offers from Reuters and Thomson Financial, say several sources. The offers, which were not formal bids, were made after ABN Amro circulated Moneyline's financials to vendors this spring.

A source familiar with the offers says Reuters offered $66 million and Thomson offered $114 million. This source says Thomson thought an acquisition would be a quick and relatively inexpensive way to buy 10s of thousands of desktops. A second source says Reuters was
