Although the Financial Stability Board (FSB) has set the parameters for global implementation of the legal entity identifier (LEI), investment firm operations professionals concerned with identifier reference data management expect complications in reconciling the US CICI (CFTC Interim Compliance Identifier) and the potential for duplicate identifications with the LEI itself.

Firms also have concerns about internal processing and management of the new LEI formats. Goldman Sachs already maintains
