Axioma Hires Greengard in Client Services Role
Axioma, the New York-based provider of decision support, risk analysis and portfolio rebalancing and analysis tools, has expanded its senior management team with the addition of Dr. Claude Greengard to the role of vice president of client services.
Greengard will report to Axioma CEO Dr. Sebastiàn Ceria and will be globally responsible for Axioma's professional services and client-support divisions. Greengard joins Axioma from IBM where he spent 22 years, holding a number of senior positiones during that time at IBM Financial Services and IBM Global Technology Services.
Greengard began his career at IBM as an applied math researcher and became the director of research for the applied math department. He then moved to the financial services sector where he held a number of roles, first as a manager and then as the innovation and transformation executive.
In 2003 he extended his role within IBM Global Services as a director of global innovation before being named chief technology officer for the IBM Sales & Distribution Division, ultimately rising to vice president, technical sales for IBM Global Technology Services.
Axioma, which has increased its employee base by 50 percent since the fourth quarter of 2008, recently made a series of announcements including: the launch of the Axioma Risk Model Machine; a partnership with Russell Indexes, which produced a series of 10 US equity ETFs called the Russell Factor ETFs; version 2.1 of its enhanced Global and Regional Risk Model; and the opening of an office in Australia.
