Nope, this time round the SEC will get its way, which, as Stewart Eisenhart's feature on page 21 contends, may not appear overly onerous at face value. As a number of sources in the feature explain, the majority of the US-based hedge funds in existence during the SEC's last hedge fund registration attempt will have their operational and technological houses pretty much in order. So from that perspective, there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. But that's where the good news ends
