Advent Software, Inc. today announced revenue for the first quarter ending March 31, 2000 increased 37% to $27.6 million, up from $20.2 million in the first quarter of the prior year. Net income doubled to $3.9 million, or 12 cents per share from $2 million or 7 cents per share in the same quarter a year ago. Amongst new clients signed by Advent in the first quarter were Deutsche Bank Prime Brokerage for the Geneva portfolio accounting system and Fleet Securities, a New York-based full-service
