EVEREN SWITCHES TO APL SERVICE BUREAU
Everen Securities will unplug the IBM RS/6000 that processes its $4 billion wrap account business and move its processing to a service bureau run by Checkfree Investment Services. The conversion is expected to be completed by the end of this summer.
The processing change coincides with a three-year contract extension that Everen signed for Checkfree's APL portfolio management system. However, the company decided to move to a service bureau environment because
