According to a source within Nasdaq OMX, the original collaborative announcement was made prior to the finalization of the delivery contract at the client's bequest. The vendor signed a cooperation agreement with the exchange to take on a technologies advisory role earlier in the year and OMX had fulfilled the advisory obligations, the source adds.
However, the partnership ultimately broke down due to "an inability to come to an agreement regarding terms of delivery," and the agreement was
