GemStone Debuts GemFire 5.5
The new features include improved scalability, security and data partitioning, according to Jags Ramnarayan, chief architect with GemStone Systems.
In terms of scalability, the latest version can demonstrate flat-line scaling and predictable latency using its data portioning technology, says Ramnarayan. "We have achieved this by introducing a new scheme on how it load balances data uniformly across nodes irrespective of resource availability," he explains, also citing that this version monitors
